ARSI Mission
The main scope of ARSI, a non-profit organization of social utility, is to ensure to all children with hearing impairment the right of optimal treatment and full social development. ARSI promotes initiatives aimed at fighting against the effects of hearing impairment in infants and childhood, from the identification of hearing loss and of its causes, to the minimization of its consequences. ARSI also promotes initiatives aimed at developing new technologies and methods for the early identification, diagnosis and intervention for infants and children with hearing and communication disorders. ARSI conducts actions to increase the awareness about the importance of early identification and intervention among health authorities and the public opinion, showing how advanced technologies provide solutions to cope with hearing loss. ARSI also supports basic, clinical and technological studies in all areas of research on infant and childhood hearing, such as medical and audiological diagnosis, genetics, epidemiology, psychological and social support to children and their families.
